New sale.
Tap New sale and it starts for the walk-in customer, so that the queue keeps moving. Type part of a product's name, set the quantity and take payment on the same screen.
M-Pesa codes.
The cashier types the code from the customer's M-Pesa message, so that HeriBMS can refuse a code that has already been used. Nobody pays you twice with the same message.
Cash + M-Pesa and Pay later.
Take part in cash and the rest by M-Pesa, or let a customer pay later, so that you never lose a sale over how they pay. Anything still owed waits in Accounts until it's cleared.
Price override.
Staff can lower a price by up to 10%, so that they can close a sale without calling you. Anything bigger needs you, and every changed price is recorded with who changed it.
Questions owners ask
Does it confirm M-Pesa payments automatically?
Not yet for shop tills. Today the cashier types the code from the customer's message, and HeriBMS makes sure the same code can't be used twice.
Do I need special equipment?
No. A phone, tablet or computer with internet is enough.
